At least he has a car.... where's yours? Hey problemchild, can you give me the winning lotto numbers for the mega million since you seem to have the ability to read future events.I think you should leave your car in the garage and save yourself the embarrassment anyway.

Whatever... <*> I agree 100% with dragracer. As far as the open time runs not taking extra time I beg to differ.Open time runs may have been how things started at most drag strips back in the late 60s and 70s but there is a reason 90% of the tracks don't use that format anymore, it is a absolute cluster f**k when there are more than 50 cars on the property. Not to mention the numerous times CID let the open time runs go as long as 3 to 4pm on a Sunday. For the people that still need to test n tune after the first two weeks of the season you better ask somebody for help because you are doing something wrong. Also it is not about getting it over as fast as you can...since the track needs to run the program on a Sunday to have the chance to pull cars from Cordova, Charleston, and St Louis area the track needs to finish at a reasonable time like 5 or 6pm to allow those racers that did travel time to get home and get some sleep since most people do work on Monday. And the spectators just like the racers don't want to be at a track sitting in the sun all day and have to stay around until 8 or 9pm on a Sunday just to see the final round, which was a regular ritual all year.I remember the last couple races were finished around 6 or 7 but the car count was so low it should have been finished by 4pm. There was more down time with the open time runs due to the majority of racers not wanting to burn up fuel and tires for the sake of driving down the track. Most racers waited until an hour or so before the lanes shut off to make only a couple passes because that's all they needed. I'm so thankful for the people that spoke up to Frank and saved the track and racers from another year of an embarrassing hot mess. Modified By Crossbones Dennis. Reason- No name calling.

dreamkiller as i have said before i was chasing what turned out to be a pair of problems last year. the first was the carb, i could not get enough fuel into the motor, everyone up there told me to just keep changing jets, something i was already doing. Wayne Parsons and i talked many times and he said he went thru the same thing and told me how to fix the second problem. HE WAS THE ONLY ONE UP THERE THAT WAS SMART ENOUGH TO HELP. it took a crew member from a fuel car to come up with the fix for the carb.

first the rack was put in by someone else and was not in the right place, that caused the problem. i had to cut everything out and start over.
very old saying. people scream the loudest when you tell the truth, which i have been doing

Hunter don't get too worked up over it. Like was said before...there are only two people on here being negative. Rest of us all looking forward to the season.
Way I see it, (as many of us do), the track changed for the worse in 2011 and was heading for death. Maybe things will get better...maybe they won't in 2012. Going back to the programs used before the failure season is a logical decision.
Yes the economy is bad and car counts will never be where they were. BUT...that is why every car in your gate is at a premium. The previous management couldn't see that. I think the attitude seen here is proof of that.

If there is to be a failure season it will be 2012... My prediction is, the track will be closed before the end of the season if Frank don't make certain changes. Not that I want to see that happen but the financial numbers don't line up, also Gateway is going to take away some of the car count, $4.00 plus gas... The track has to make money and we didn't make money last year and this year has more issues against it. Chad if you want to make it a personal issue... we can and will If you think it changed for the worse......... I wasn't the one that was ripping off the racers and banks and I'm not the one doing time for it. I'm not the one that LOST THE TRACK TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. YES she LOST the track to the Feds. In the closing of the property one check went to Havana State Bank and the other to the Dept. of Justice. If it wasn't for me chances are we wouldn't have a track now and it wouldn't have a new surface. I'm the one that got Frank involved, I'm the one that talked Frank into the new surface... he never even heard of Havana before that.... big big mistake on my part. Bill Simpson, Rusty Wallace and Chip Ganassi offered to put up the money with me as investors to buy the track but Frank talked me out of getting them involved and said he would put up the total amount and that I would pay him back with interest. I agree that's much better than investors that will still expect a return in a bad economy . Ask all of the 2011 winners if they thought last year was a mistake.... You #&@% looser. Hunter don't get too worked up over it. Like was said before...there are only two people on here being negative. Rest of us all looking forward to the season. You know what is funny Bob??? You sit and lump me in as a Jackalyn supporter. You know so little about anyone thats a regular customer of havana it's crazy. Please...please...please show me a single comment made by me anywhere supporting Jackalyn. I have my opinion of her and most know it but out of respect for Brad and her family...i don't air them.
I think some of the decisions you made were good. However, it was your attitude and personality that refused to accept suggestions & criticism. You prove it here with your name calling and bashing. At no point in all our discussions, have you made ONE mention of something you think YOU could have done better. NOT ONE!! It's a big conspiracy and everyone else ruined it. I politely told you why I didn't race there...if you act like this on a forum....I am sure your just the opposite in person. I real people person.
You may feel I'm a loser and that's cool. I can assure you I have more business sense and experience than you'll ever have. My job depends on it.
For the record.... we discussed buying the track. Unfortunately, us "losers" who know nothing, had the smarts to know drag racing is dying, especially in our region and I didn't want to sink my savings into it. Limited new blood, higher costs, etc. You buy a track looking to make profit.....your head is in the 1980's.
You followed the same philosophy as Sikeston and look at how similar the results are. Regardless of it's future, Havana has made one huge improvement already. Just remember....everytime you point the finger at someone.....THREE ARE POINTING BACK AT YOU.
