The person has to have a current SFI/NHRA inspectors license... meaning they would of had to attend and take the test at the NHRA Tech seminar.

well my car will not be ready for the chassis cert sat mornin, just my luck, so i'll have to haul it down to wentzville, mo to get that done.
don't like some of the stories I'm hearing about what is going on with the track. if only half what i'm is true this is going to be a very disappointing season. the car is going to be a good bit quicker so I'll have to adjust to that

I'm not too worried. I hope it works out so I can save some gas and run havana but.....Cordova has a good payout & program so it's not the end of the world if it doesn't pan out.
Don't have anything to think about until this freshly coated piperack gets some parts put on it!!!!

I agree. So much work to get done it's depressing after a while because you forget the fun is around the corner. Like it never ends!!
I was talking to John Burdess the other day and we both would like to see a track run 2 days every other week. Racers could get same # of race days but with 1/2 the fuel. Track could either shut down on opposite weeks or run specialty deals.

2 days might be fine, but not all of us can afford that or have the time. if you are going for points that two days could keep you out of the running by not being there to race. just my view

I honestly think everyone is in for a big disappointment this year. Almost all of the racers liked the open time trials, only a few said they actually liked the limited sessions. Why do they want to change? The track don't have the big car count that warrents limited runs. It also says Competition cars only during time trials.... so this must mean if a guy has a new car or a special class car and needs to test it, he's not welcome to run until after second round is complete??? Why wouldn't he be welcome to run during Time Trials? I guess the track don't need that racers test & tune entry fee. I always thought Drag Racing was supposed to be fun thing to do after working all week, not just show up and run two passes then eliminations... oh I forgot you can buy the third pass. Of course the stock car racers that are in charge like it that way, they would just as soon show up and get the race day over with and go home.
Maybe they got more important things to think about... like what soda to sell at the track.
Wait til they play a NASCAR race or a Ball game on the PA all day.
I remember it was Stock Car people that closed the Pevely Mo. Dragstrip.

Somebody must be pissin the neighbors off up there at the track doing whatever their doing, I got a letter from an Attorney on Saturday representing the Frye family saying stop whatever their doing.
This is the Frye Family that built the track.... this is also the family that was more than willing to deal on property to extend the track and return roads.... Why would you piss'em off.

I remember it was Stock Car people that closed the Pevely Mo. Dragstrip. Actually what closed the Pevely track was the flood of 93'. After that they never opened again even though Buddy tried to get it done it just wasn't enough. Another key factor was cars were getting faster and faster, Pevely was probably one of the shorter tracks around and if you ran over 120 you really needed to use the Chute. Ran my Beretta down there and I didn't like it at all, way to short. Can you imagine cars running 4.50's and 4.60's down there? They would have to park a trctor at the end of the track to pull all the cars out...
