If I was a guessing man I'd say $400 R/Up. As far as how far down we pay will completely depend on car count & buy backs... We list on our website: We are guaranteeing a minimum $800 to win no matter how many entries Minimum 40 Entries for full payout Payout Win $1000 R-Up $400 Semi $200 Quarter Final $100 Less than 40 entries purse breakdown: Win: $800 (Guaranteed) R-Up: 20% Semi: 5% Quarters: $60 unless less than 32 entries, then no Quarters payout. www.colescountydragwayusa.com/trackinfo/payout.htm Call me if you have any questions.

Benton bigger payout to win, but there's a little more entry & BB costs. Payout from R/Up down at both tracks very similar and surely a lot less rounds on the car at our place. Hope to see ya at CCD and good luck if you go to Benton.

Friday sounds fun but I can't make it. I might have to work Saturday. If not, I just might head your way.

One of the things I like to look at when deciding to race at an event is payout at the semi-final level. I always like for the semis payout to at least double the entry fee. At the BIG buck race this weekend the semi payout is 5%. Say for example there is 19 cars in the field. With two round of buybacks, it could easily take six rounds to get to the semis. After paying $80.00 entry fee, winning six rounds and getting down to three cars, getting a check for $76.00 is very disheartening. JMO

Good point. And do buy backs count towards the 5% and entry count?

JMO I hope we don't have just 19 cars in box, but if we do we never pay semi's less than at least the entry fee. As you can see our win money in Box is guaranteed at $1500 and with 19 cars we'd have $1520 in purse money. That's 99% of the money going to the win and R/Up & Semi's out of our pocket with the guaranteed 20% of $1520 going to the R/Up and 10% (5% each) to semi-finalist. We never pay semi's less than the entry fee. 19 was a bad example or at least I'd hope a bad example.

Good point. And do buy backs count towards the 5% and entry count? Dr Phillips if you find a track counting BB towards anything other than expense I'll show you a closed track. In the ole days of car count in S/P at 100 or more even at CCD buy backs meant nothing. Today across the country BB keep a track above water. As a racer I'm not a fan of BB, but as an owner I couldn't survive without them. I'm lucky at CCD as the racers want two rounds of buy backs all the time. Last year at the first race, rain was just around the corner and I removed 2nd round buy back sacrificing our bottom line to get a race completed and it was a mutiny. Two racers claimed I cost them the championship because of it and raced elsewhere the rest of the season.

And u seem eager for new customers Bill was out a few weeks ago testing, but not sure if he'll be there this weekend. I'd suspect he will though. We run a pretty tight show, so being out before midnight shouldn't be a problem (now where is that wood to knock on). Always eager to show new people what our little track has to offer. Its the only way we might get you to come back and bring a few of your friends.
