And run yourself in the final . That brings up an interesting point. Can you or will anyone run the same car or two different cars in the bonus race one with a box and one without.

I doubled pro and s/pro last year. Same car. Box in-box out. Didn't get to both finals ever. But there's always that chance ;-)

I'm saying will someone basically double enter the SAME class now called the " combo race" will they give you time to run at the front of the line fly back around remove the box and continue to run at the back ? Will time permit ? Will they hold you a car if the field is small?

My question is do we get bonus time runs separate from reg time run. All out 1/8 s/p and run s/g set up in bonus race

I do not believe that is correct. Read my post from before on how I guessed they would be doing time runs... two 1/4 mile passes for each class. Go off of those numbers for both your 1/8 and 1/4 mile ET's, etc. I thought I saw that Deb S. 'Liked' the comment which told me that very well may be the case. As always, I could be incorrect and accept that. What do I know anyway, haven't been drag racing in a while. 'Bench Warmer'. How many time runs are really necessary?

PT. Depends on if it runs right the first pass. I couldn't get past first round last year. If I would have had only one time run I may have made it to second round. Your hard luck award winner KP

I disagree , at I-57 you can run your super pro car in s/pro and foot break and pro , just pull the box and foot break in foot break and you can leave on the break in pro . This year Accelaquarter dropped foot break and pro and are just calling it no box , you can pull the box and race two classes their. Just my opinion Yes you can run two different classes at other tracks, but no other track runs 2 super pro classes and 2 pro classes is where I was going with that. Most guys with dragsters have no other options at other tracks like they do Gateway. OK , understood , if this is the motivation then where is the second class for sportsman ?

There isn't a second class for Sportsman. They just jump in with the No Box (Pro) bonus racers. It's the 'red-headed, step-child' class, anyway.

I agree , that's the problem , sportsman is second to only pro for entries and has the lowest payout structure of the three (I know entry is 10 dollars but half the payout . s/pro gets a bonus class because dragsters can't race another class( I'm sure they knew that when they bought them looking for the best advantage they could ) pro gets a second class for the guys that don't want to slow there car down or give up there evil adjustable trans break buttons or race for the low payout that is sportsman , so the only option the sportsman racer has if they want to run a second class is step into the pro class with all the breakers with there evil button ways or no box with the guys with there evil buttons and then maybe the finals with a guy with an evil button and a more evil delay box ha ha , and I'm saying all of this and I'm not running sportsman this year because my car is to fast and I'm not going to play that game. My job site rained out so you guys have to put up with my b.s. even more today ha ha when it rains it really does poor

Isn't the second class for sportsman the quarter mile bonus class? I know they footbrake but so what? That hasn't kept Dan from doing great in Pro.

Jeremy , the sportsman guys that want to run a second class already step up and run in pro , my response goes back to clay stating Gateway is the only track that has two classes for pro and s/pro to run and me being the pot stirrer I am had to throw out the sportsman thing , but while I am stirring the pot I understand why the guys in pro that don't have a trans break don't step up to play in s/pro I don't understand why the guys with trans breaks that won't race s/pro but run the box no/box ?
