I love racing at new dragstrips but I will not go there. I heard the same thing as clay. they are so slow that it takes 15 hours to run a 50 car race and with no safety protacals in place the hillbillies can have it . I will take the county club here any day. Hillbillies? Wow. Yeah, you may not want to go there.

lack of tech isn't the problem. I haven't been teched at any track other than Indy, gateway and MAR I've never been teched at a race that pays more than 2k to win. But you don't wear shorts cut off sleeves. I am shocked every year someone has to work on their super pro car to pass tech. Every year its kinda of scary really. A lot of cars running faster than 6.40 or 10.00 not being certified of using the proper safety equipment.

That’s probably because they know you. If the car or driver looks suspect I’m sure they will check you out Haha nope. Unless the rock you put your techcard under checks me out.

Some of these are Nhra tracks too.

The accidents at Bonne terre are due in most part bc there is much less room for error there in width and length.

The argument isn't valid anyways bc for the most part gateway doesn't tech. Cars starting in reverse come to mind. Plus the car in the accident had dual return springs so it would have passed tech anyways.

first thing I did was ran over and see if anyone was hurt as I park down there, thank god jarrods kid wasnt hurt he was out of the booth getting ready to hand out slips, heard the driver was in his boys car, also same driver wrecked a car there last year Same driver has never wrecked a car in his life. Has been racing on and off for over 35years. Also driver inspected everything after he had it hang in pit and before making the run and did not see any problems. He regrets making the pass and has already reached out to everyone and has assured them that he will pay for all damages. It was a new car build that was not thrown together and at this point he is still not sure why the throttle stuck.

Well maybe we were to quick to jump the gun on this guy. Accidents do happen and the occasional fit of rage I guess after possibly losing a round. Just shouldn’t come to wide open throttle maybe

He should never been on return road walking throttle, or even attempting a throttle deal on return road .

It was finished two weeks prior. It has been being built over last several years. I agree the throttle should not have been floored on the return road however we don't know it was perhaps it was only placed a quarter way down to gain some speed. It wouldn't take much mph to do that damage. I don't know of many people that idle back. Maybe he made an error and maybe he didn't other than not going neutral. I don't know I wasn't there. Just seems like a lot of people piling on the driver and track without all info present.

Now if he has stock axles them I don't like it. I'm sure someone will say lawsuit that will close the track. I've personally never seen or heard of this actually taking place.

At some point if his action he became a passenger in no return action. He caused this issue , he should thank God the kid in that shed got out before hitting it destroyed it . All avoidable, never should happen . I've seen all kinds of things we all do in pits , when something bad does happens we will try to explain it away. Pile on the driver , won't pile on . This should provide all if us a sence of what am I doing , do I have to do it was that necessary. We all hate saftey , there are reasons for rules , even if no one checks your cars ,

All points valid here . This story should go viral so everyone knows to keep your cool off the track things can go south quickly . Btw I do idle most of the time because the car is hot and idling at 1300 or so in high gear and I’m probably going 30 mph ? With the 3.89 gear so idle is plenty fast for me . Some might have to give it some gas
