Thank God no one got hurt. Unreal! That place is cursed. not cursed, just no tech, only helmets and belts required there, plus everyone runs with there window down,no one wears race jackets, races in shorts and no sleeve shirts, every racer there says they wont race at waitway

when they pop the hood, throttle was free.had dual springs on it,what I notice instead of the linkage being straight was on a bad angle and was rubber on a hole in the firewall,if driver was having problems in the pits and lanes he shouldn't of made the run and corrected the problem, what I think happen on the return road near the shack it stuck and he try to unstuck it buy pumping the pedal,

Neutral!! It's easy to do in an emergency. Don't know why people in runaway vehicles forget that.

I know you have something with gateway as the worst track ever, but I'll run gateway any chance over Bonne Terre

Not sure why anyone would call Gateway "waitway" that races there, because Gateway runs a program much more efficient than they can there. I have not talked to one person that has raced there that was impressed by how long it takes there to run a program with 1/4 the cars Gateway gets! I don't get the hate!

I love racing at new dragstrips but I will not go there. I heard the same thing as clay. they are so slow that it takes 15 hours to run a 50 car race and with no safety protacals in place the hillbillies can have it . I will take the county club here any day.

Ricky reports a lot of accidents down there . John as I said on the post of Monster muscle you don’t like Gateway. Extra cost to race at gateway but ambulance on site and other safety measures. Hopefully driver and et shack guy is ok . They might consider putting a concrete barrier to divert a car from hitting it .

lack of tech isn't the problem. I haven't been teched at any track other than Indy, gateway and MAR I've never been teched at a race that pays more than 2k to win.
