another rumor I heard at bonne terre last race was the people that invested in the million dollar make over of I-57,was going to redo pevley, but run the track another way so there was more room,if they did, better make sure it don't flood again, love to see pevley reopen, but that was a rumor It couldnt run the other way the county road was at top end and several cars had gone over it when in trouble .If it went other way then the river was the issue . Those wishing MARP , Pevely,Pacific,Kansas City and the old Alton, Assumption need to move on and support a track that is open and they feel comfortable with . Most wishing are the ones who race couple times a year and or their stuff is collecting dust in the garage and say they got 1000s of passes on motors trans, tires .LOL

It's history no investors,no land,no money, no concrete and the banks won't touch it although they can't seem to understand why. Ronnie just keeps stringing people along with rumors he starts, thinking they will start pouring the money into a lost cause.

Talked to Steve today the owner of Bonne Terre is coming up to look at the equipment that they bought for the new Marp, they have pretty much everything you need for a track. Good chance for Bonne Terre to add some nice equipment to improve their track at a discount. Steve said they have 2 weeks to come up with a big money guy which won't happen. Steve actually did put a lot of money into the project but not near enough to pull it off, he took a big hit on the money he invested including property he bought up to satisfy the Corp. for the 1st shot at the Montgomery county site plus he paid for most the equipment. I give him and Ronnie a lot of credit for at least doing their best to help out racers and race fans.

It's to late to pull anything off the banks won't touch it and no one with big money is going to finance the whole deal on their own. It's sad but lots of tracks are closing and very few new ones opening. Building a high dollar track capable of Major events in a small town aren't realistic when you already have one less than 100 miles away. They should have built small like Bonne Terre than improved when things got rolling but I know for a fact this is dead in the water.
