Now that the last points race is now moved to Sept 5th . This is now BS we couldn't have a make up for the last race rainout . But now a makeup race on a holiday weekend that many racers have plans either to race elsewhere or family plans . So now everyone that made plans have to decide and disrupts plans . Plus US NATIONALS THE BIGGEST NHRA RACE Plus you all have to be there early by 9.00am to be done by 5.00 to start the arm drop that draws small crowd no prep . How can we be as regular supporters . Hard for us to support when they don't support. U.S
Sorry for the rant ..

I guess the arm drop race might be a flop so they figure why start so early?

I guess the arm drop race might be a flop so they figure why start so early? They want to make sure I can't make it to I57 for the 5k race.

Post by racerone on 5 hours agoLooks like a different time posted on this update .Some will be late others early . www.gatewaymsp.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/SaturdaySept5BracketMakeUp.pdfWTH? What is the real time? The schedule changes so much you don't even know when to show up anymore. This race shouldn't even be a points race. Should just be a regular bracket race for those with nothing to do over the holiday.

I love i-57 just I also like driving 120 miles one way vs 220 miles one way. 4.5 hour drive starting after midnight gets rough.

I hear you. Gateway is only 40 minutes for me and is a great facility. There are several other tracks that are a much better facility than GW. CCD and I57 prep their track every time, they stick to a schedule and they want the racers there. That is their main goal is to get racers there. Can't say that for GW.

I agree that those tracks want the racers there, but those facilities don't compare to Gateway's facility and I think that's what Jim was talking about, especially CCD. Its a neat old track, but very old and pits are not the best and they have the largest rollout in the history of dragracing. I57 has a nice new track, but there pits are still not the greatest. I don't like the schedule changes either, but I dislike the 2 hour drive at 1:00 in the morning when going elsewhere. Its nice to have a track 25 minutes from home that pays decent compared to other tracks.
