My statement is a general statement not Picking out anyone at anyplace Or track Be that as it may. It happens has happen and will continue to be there even more so with allow More n more in classes that should Not be allowed I have seen the rules bent broken and Because it's so n so we don't want to offend or run off racers items are allowed Jmo 3 days away and I see these statements . General statements is what your good at . Not a cloud in the sky but you say its raining .LOL Your last comment sentence is ridiculous the rules broken bent then point the one who are doing it and who quit because of so much cheating ? Quit calling out crap and not saying nothing but on here . If someone got out of racing it was by their choosing not the tracks fault .There open . Im glad i'm in a great mood today . 2014 keyboard commando winner .LOL

Don My statement is not ridiculous ! I have seen thought out the years that just the 3 classes get so invaded by electronics boggles even the best rookie racer The very idea of allowing anyone to have a device on his car that's not suppose to be on the car whether it be pro class or sportsman or even street. And make statements that its ok that racer will never use it. Is as assinine as saying no one is cheating just beacause we all race together we are friends. Great nothing like keep your friends close and enemies closer!

Wow. Most tracks I've ever raced at have a "bounty rule". May or may not be written. But it's there. You suspect strongly enough that someone is cheating you put up $100. The track manager checks the car. If you're right you get the $100 back and the racer gets penalized. If no foul play is found the suspected racer keeps the $100. So you better be willing to "put your money where you're mouth is". two racers caught another CHEATING, TOLD THE TRACK MANAGER WHO IT WAS, HAD VIDEO PROOF, AND WAS TOLD, "THAT RACER IS NOT CHEATING". the track never even looked at the car to make sure. most tech people at the tracks do not have the electronics back round to know what to look for. far to many racers know that and push the rules as far as possible. What track did this take place at?

If someone is cheating it isn't with the devices that anyone can see.

Gateway doesn't pay out enough to cheat. You'd have to be an idiot. Risk getting banned from the track forever to win a couple hundred dollars and know in your own mind that you had to cheat to get there? The classes with real rules to bend or break is Sportsman and Pro and after factoring in fuel, maintenance, time what is the point in cheating? I know the people who win in those classes and I know why they win. They put more into it and are more dedicated. It's that simple.

If its a delay box then you are completely wrong, because they have to be removed from the car completely.

Why would I risk my friendship with fellow racers, get banned from the place I grew up, get fired by my car owner ,not sleep at night because every trophy in the house wasn't earned. All for $500 ? That would not be smart.

Most of the time people leave those devises in the car during time runs just to get into the head of people who think they are cheating, just daring them to protest or complain. There is soooo much BS that goes on just to get into different peoples head it's hilarious! and it looks like they have gotten to some people. I've seen People in Sportsman with a big red button connected to nothing. I've seen delay boxes in cars during time runs too. I've seen all sorts of crazy stuff. If there is someone you really think is cheating, put up the money. I know I've seen a protest fee and process on Gateway's site.

You are correct Jim and I have seen a protest there too and nothing was found, but $500 was put up to do the protest.

Now I heard this year thier is a new sheriff in town and I wouldn't be surprised if a random tear down didn't happen in every class like the old days with Wally and big Al . I can't remember how many times they took the sheet metal off the purple car in 1999. And it's probably not a bad idea.

Well a few years ago there was a car with a down track stutter chip in Street ET. I heard it about the 1000-1100 ft mark. I lost that round (my bad). So I went to big AL. He went to the racer & told him to take it out & go to the next round where he promptly lost. Thanks AL
