Can a 32 bantum altered race in the pro class (without a delay box) or does it have to be a door car or left steer? Thanks.

You are good to go . The phillips rule disappeared in 2004 and you can also race it at the division finals . The only rule is no mechanical throttle stops .

I think you mean no electric throttle stops. Mechanical non adjustable are legal.

One more questions: if you ran a restrictor plate under the carb like where you can slide a different plate in an out, is that legal? I notice that some of the pro races begin at 9.0 et so i would need to run something like that.

It would probably be a pretty small hole. My throttle stop looks like it's almost closed to keep the car at 5000rpm. It's on from the 1/8 mile mark to the finish line and I run 10.50. I've thought about leaving it on for a whole pass to see what it would run but I'm worried it wouldn't shift right.

It's on a timer. I run 6.50's. It's set to come on at 6.60 seconds and stays on until 11.50 which is way past the finish line. I run the same mph, within 1 or 2, in the 1/4 as I do the 1/8. For instance 6.50 @ 105 and 10.50 @ 106. I think it picks up a little because of they high growth Goodyears I had. I've switched to a different tire so we'll see what happens.

They are also big on having the air cylinder throttle linkages. They cannot be on the car either, even if they have no timer connected to them.

You can have the linkage still on just no air lines and no bottle. That came straight from rich bowers he said that's legal at the ET finals and division races .

Well they must have changed that rule, because two years ago at Indy they went through the staging lanes in pro and anyone that had any kind of air cylinder on the car even with no air going to it had to remove it and install a solid linkage on the car. Heck Gateway a few years back made me and Dan Smith both remove the air linkage and install a solid one. If that is not the rule anymore I may put the other one back on this year.
