I was informed that there will be a pro class for 1979 and older vehicles running typical NHRA division 3 pro rules on the 1/4 mile and it will have the standard Gateway pro class payout.

So how many of these period cars will pass NHRA tech? Oh well. It sounded like an interesting event. Looks like too many nutty rules to be fun. I don't understand the 55 and older thing at all. I understand if they want 55 and older vehicles, but 55 and older people? WTH is that? Hey!!!

Good! The rules are posted. I don't see anything about "illegal switches/buttons". HEY, we're good to go. Don't forget your "rain gear".

By the new posting of pro class we get $5.00 off the regular $55.00 entry now $50.00 same $30.00 buyback if time allows . Can't be a misprint now .LOL

Some of you guys must of skipped school constantly not to understand what your reading.
Your picking apart the period correct class. .. This class is for the original appearing cars, no trans brakes, no modern wheels or scoops. 1967 and older cars.
Nostalgia 1 and Nostalgia 2 are bracket classes for all others... 1972 and older cars these classes can have trans brakes, modern wheels etc
NO ELECTRONICS ALLOWED AT NOSTALGIA EVENTS PERIOD

Yes, unfortunately a lot of rumor and missinformation on this thread. It sounds like a great event. Even my Dad is talking about a car cruise to the event if it doesn't rain. But, like it's been talked about so many times before, it's so difficult to find out what the bracket payout is and general information. That's why people tune into this website. To try and get some information about events and other things going on at the track. I Finally saw something on Facbook last week on the bracket payout. 2 weeks before the event is just too late. People have already decided to go boating, BBQ, or whatever else. I know the bracket race is really a side note to this event, but you are talking about 70+ poeple in Pro and Sportsman who obviously like to race and have a ready to run car in the garage just looking to go do something with it A large percentage of the bracket cars are classic muscle cars that would fit into this event very well and they'd be bringing a crew and spectators along with them.
