Yes it did work and like I said it could also be what eliminates not only the participation of the bonus race for the no box guys, but could be what eliminates it all together. Not sure who all wanted the 1/4 mile in pro, but most everyone I have talked to would have preferred 1/8. I don't care either way and like I said before, even though I wanted 1/8 I feel like I have a much bigger advantage on the 1/4 so I don't have an issue with it.

"Also, to expect special treatment because you buy a pit spot is retarded. Not one person bought a spot to support the track, they bought the spot to guarantee themselves the same spot every week." I'm the one that rides the 'short bus'. Bought a pit spot in 2013 & 2014 and only used it once. Need to fix that situation. At least my friends and their friends got to use and enjoy it!

My brother has 3 spots in his name. So I guess his opinion counts more than the guys that bought 1.

Ok lets ask this question . Should any class have a higher entry fee than the others ?
Should payouts be higher in any other class because of cost of the car and Maint and speed they run ?
Should payouts be based on number of cars in each class ?
Reward the class's that seem to be able to draw the cars each week .
If the goal is to increase the S/P class by more money than it should go for Pro and Sportsman .IMO

s/pro pay out should only be higher because of the higher entry fee if car count is the same , its not like there is alot of fans in the stands on race night because of s/pro cars , when ever im at gateway it looks to me like the people in the stands probably came with some one racing , if some one dumps a lot of money in to their car to go faster to me that is to get an advantage or because faster is funner . In my opinion the fast car should get lane choice . Heck make the entry the same across the board and let car count decide the pay out.

I at least believe sp and pro should have the same entry and tier system.

I at least believe sp and pro should have the same entry and tier system. If you do this then the sportsman and pro guys will complain because it will cost them too much to come out and play. Leave well enough alone and let's try not to reinvent the wheel here. I have watched this post pretty much from it's inception and it's kind of like this. People that race points will race points and those that don't wont. It's just that simple, it really doesn't matter whether it's 1/8 or 1/4 if you want to get into the points to try and get a chance to go to Indy you will. If you have zero interest in Indy then don't enter, I have entered points twice in my racing career, once back in 88 when I would have won the Championship at the then old MAR until one of the Mitchell boys took off with the points fund and all of the other assets of the place and last year where we struggled with track issues most of the year. Yes I had a good time keeping track of where I was in the standings and yes I will probably do it again this year, but will I go to Indy? We shall have to wait and see...

I could be wrong, but I really don't think too many guys in the pro class would complain on the $10 increase in entry for the much better payout system, especially if there is no bonus class.

Wishful thinking. You would be surprised how many pro guys would throw a hissy fit about the extra $10 just like they did about the possibility of going 1/8 mile !And imagine if superpro went back to the $80 entry fee like it did 12 years ago for 1/8 mile . And pro had to pay $80 to enter to make things equal ? Holy cow they would burn down the tower. Lol

I wish the bonus race was $80.00 entry the payout was excellent and car counts were high. It should be 1/8 mile

Think that class had a $2,000 to win payout, didn't it? Yes it did. I had the pleasure of winning one of those. It put a nice down payment on a Dart block
