I heard it's going to happen probably after the holidays. But what kind of format should we have? Top and bottom bulb in the same night or alternate top on Saturday and bottom the next? How many entries two ,three? How much to enter each race? Any suggestions.

Would it matter if it was separate since it's an even playing field. Is it always going to be on Saturdays

Is there going to be button racing at camdup too? We are planning on Friday nights again. This will be the 5th year now. Probably start 1st Friday after New Years.

Always a good time. I'll try to make it out some to donate some beer and money when I can. Will be a busy winter though. Championships are made in the off season in all sports... I vote top bulb by the way. I don't like adjusting to everyone elses bottom bulb roll out.

I always thought the track's website and facebook were the tracks super highway of information. I never see any of this "I heard" information on either of these two sites.

They will not put that on FB. Then you would have 600 idiots there and then it would be to big and the race could never happen. This is a trial run and a courtesy to the core small group of bracket racers that support the place on a weekly basis.

As I have stated in my other posts , that is exactly their way of thinking. ..small core group, they are either afraid or not interested in large scale events on their own. Not saying I agree or disagree with this approach, but it does explain some of their unpopular decisions

I'm just guessing here . This is purely speculation . And I am not an official spokesman for gateway or anything but if I was having a button race at my house I would not want a bunch of people there that I don't know . I would rather have a small group of people that I can trust so they don't wreck the place.

As far as wrecking the place, that's why GIR quit doing the button races years ago. They would have to send a cleaning person in to mop up the spilled beer, clean up the empty cans and bottles that people were too lazy to put in the trash cans and pick up cig butts off the floor. We had to completely repaint the room due to people leaning with their backs against the walls and putting a foot on the wall. So if they hold a button race, be respectful of the venue if you want it to continue.

Then people will complain that they paid $45to enter 3 times and won a 10 round race and someone hands them $115 because Gmp took $400 for their cut. Reggies shop was a business and he didn't make a dime and neither does Ron H or tom H . That's why people return . If they publisize this and it's huge every weekend and takes 3 hours to run a race with time runs nobody will return .

If so I attended the majority of those races. I also remember staying to the end each time I was there and several of us cleaning up the place (all trash put in the trash can) before we walked out and locked the door. As far I as remember the place was never "wrecked" or "trashed". Now the floor might have been dirty from people coming in and out... it was the winter time and snow was on the ground. A lot of the same people posting in this thread also attended those. They know we didn't leave the place in wrecked or trashed state also. Just saying... Scott.

I appreciate some of you that tried to keep it clean but it didn't get cleaned up every time. It wasn't a lot but there was some trash. Snow isn't sticky. Once again, not a lot but enough housekeeping had to clean it up. Believe me she told me all about it. Most of the people who attend events at GMP will not leave a mess. Once again it's a few that will ruin it for the rest. It's a great thing they are going to try it again. I'd hate to see it ruined by a couple of people. I'm just giving everybody a heads up because the management now is 100 times more picky than before.
