If last years champ get's beat 1st and 2nd round, that's a long time to wait for the KOT race.

If last years champ get's beat 1st and 2nd round, that's a long time to wait for the KOT race. Yes going out early and no crosstalk could be bad news so it's prob important to stay in as long as possible. Then the question is to put it on the stop or not?

As far as I know there was no panel this year and not really sure one is needed. Through most of the years (not all of them) that they had a panel it was useless. The only way I think it would be effective at all is if: 1. Each class voted on who would represent their class. A large group of racers in a meeting does not work at all. 2. That representative would need to be able to communicate with a large amount of the racers in that class to get ideas from the majority and not just his ideas. 3. The track would need to listen and be open.
I don't think having some sort of advisor group or panel is a bad idea for the track and the racers both, but BOTH sides need to want it to work and the racers need someone in there that is going to be realistic and not just whine and bitch to them about all the things we need. As of now they are always open to listen to all of the racers (doesn't mean send them 2 emails a week because then you are asking to be ignored) and I am sure 90% of what they here now is bitching about several things and then that naturally ends up going in one ear and out the other. I have always got a response to anyone I have contacted at Gateway, but I don't send them emails every week either. In my opinion I think they have their own ideas of how they want things to be and it may be great for some and not so great for others, but I think they are set with running things to their plans and not ours. Yes we are the customers and yes it would be nice to be heard, but sometimes in businesses they have a plan set in place that you have to stick to good or bad. I will add though that even though they don't respond on this board, I guarantee they frequently lurk on here and see some of the good and bad suggestions we all make, so putting suggestions for the track on here is not all bad. Yes we will all argue about them, but its not bad to throw out our ideas on here.

I believe everyone is entitled to their opinions but the ones that negate a valid point do us all a disservice. I do admit to taking the devil's advocate on some issues just for the entertainment value , but I/ we need to keep in mind they are monitoring
