i agree why do you need so much in a street car even that his sportsman car has a button next to the seat that is adjustable and has the same thing in it but noone believes it is hooked to a line lock because when the button is pushed all the clicking comes from passenger side. the street class and sportsman are a dying breed at CID if i could get in the time bracket i would go to pro.

Chad, I don.t know where you got your info but you could not be more wrong. I sat in the bleachers on a friday test and tune and watched Jimmie driving her burgandy camaro. the car is eqiuped with a TWO STEP, a TRANS BRAKE, and a DELAY BUTTON HE may be foot braking the El Camino, but as far as the orange camaro he runs in pro, that has a two step, trans brake, and a delay button That is incorrect. The orange Camaro is a pro car with a button, transbrake, and two step the el camino and the burgundy Camaro are d3 sportsman legal with a rev limiter wired to a line loc and activated through a button. Wayne parsons chevelle is the same way I believe. No transbrake on those cars, just a low chip hooked to a rev limiter so the car can't push through the lineloc. Im sure you could go to the powers that be and have the car teched to try to get to the bottom of everything. I would like to see street cars stay more basic, but until the track changes the rules, there is nothing illegal going on.

Why does anyone have to 'set ' up a street car ?? Because they are a very competitive person and want to win! Not breaking any rules and they are smarter than the average bear. my first thought , go see other thread! No they are not cheating! Second thought, If your that good , why the set up of just a street car?? To give yourself a better chance of winning! Wait now I got it lol ! Your only good if you have a 'button' and a T brake, 2step, 1 step, who knows jezzz just a street car mmmmmmm LOL The racers that make these changes would be winning regardless, but know they can win even more with these set ups that are allowed in the rules!
Dennis your killing me! Here are a couple answers for ya above on your questions.

Just being sarcastic! but being I tend to speak openly, it is just a street car for petes sake, something you actual drive , use , not something that is all out race car ,in hiding! We could say that those types of cars are what hurts the sport from growing, as most want to come out run for a little spot o cash , but more so for driving the street bragging rights, Instead all I hear is how bad it is getting by pure bred race cars running home grown street guys out! But to sit back watch it go to heck because someone wants to put t brakes buttons ,run slicks, (they don't even try to hide), no exhaust, IDONO , kinda gives me that bad feeling to about how the sport is lossing its appeal!

As for the cheating aspect,, once the door opens hard to police it, makes it easier for a person to cheat! once again just a street car , through out my years of racing I have seen ,, heard rumors about cheating , I don't think much about it, just know the more allowed the more oppertunity for it to go on in various classes, Just as a lot of cars that run both pro then run s-pro , it is very hard to know if the racer who just made an elim run in s-pro comes right around then runs pro, did he take box out? no one knows? T he guy in street should not have to compete with someone who has t brake buttons, slicks etc!!!!! car that no way runs or drives on the street jmo!

I know for a fact that 2-3 guys that used to run pro and super pro pulled their out. Since I had to run to their trailers to get them
