Yes I have seen racepak dash, we have them in the pulling trucks and tractors!
it tells all kind of stuff!!!!!!!!!!! it even has GPS ,tell how many feet you pull, and it can even count the inch! wheel speed , drive shaft speed , temps ,rpms,, cyl,, injectors, the ones we have can tell it when to inject water, ah a delay!!
They should not be allowed!!! in competition! unless it is in a fully electronic class, not in street or pro ,,while in race down track, my opinion!! I just know that pro class street, they should not be there knowing what it can show the driver!!
Street / pro cars are limited to what they can have, each class a step up as you get more adapt at racing, , so to have any device in the car in eliminations, that gives a driver live information ,is and should be against the rules ,, as I see it! JMO!
I nor does anyone here know what your scanner can or can't do, as modifying them to do other than what they was intended could happen ,thus the use or abuse is not what the NH RA , or any track would want on their hands, in novice classes!
Once again , not saying you, or your 'scanner' is nothing other than what you say it is!, Or that you are 'cheating'!
The real issue is, once you had already been told last year not to have it in operation during elms, why would you try to 'get by' with it, knowing that they where watching??
then when you do it again , you force a hand because they have a complaint , no matter who it was , it could have been several, who knows? then when the track is in that position, and they came to the conclusion to do what they did. then everyone wants to up in arms about it?? I fail to understand that part!!??
The track is put in very bad situation, if they don't do something they lose, if they do something they lose,, so why do we put them in that place??
You are very correct, I don't have a dog in this fight, electronic is getting very hard to keep out of the novice classes, what new cars do, and with lap tops pdas, even your phone , make enforcement very very hard,
Jeremy, Think you heck of a racer,
