I have no idea how you can cheat in a Geo Prizm. I didn't see the box that was plugged into the car when making passes I just heard about it later. I heard it was to read engine temp. Let's get it out in the open. What was the box that was plugged into the car? Why was it plugged in during the pass? If it's just to read engine temp why leave it plugged in? There wouldn't have been any issues if it was taken out during the run.
Anyway, good job yesterday. You were on a roll as usual. I don't believe there was anything going on. I think it was just a misunderstading on both sides.

The box plugged in is a code scanner and will show live data only. It will not make any adjustments to the car other than clear codes. The reason it stays plugged in is bc when it first is connected it takes about 1.5 min to make connection. If it stays connected i can view engine temp again in under 5 sec. I leave it hooked up in case of a delay then i will be ready. Honestly i didnt even use it the last several runs bc i know it was up to temp. I just didnt care for the stagement" you got away with it this time but next time you wont.

i wasn't there last night or for that matter i haven't been there all year but from the 6 or 7 people i have corresponded with today i don't think it was a misunderstanding at all, i think it was 1 or more people that can't win complaining about someone that wins his share of the time and a track employee once again running their mouth about something they know absolutely nothing about. its not just last night although that would have been bad enough to treat a customer like that it is a way of life for that track with out trying to get the facts BEFORE running her mouth but that is a pattern that has been fairly consistant the last year and a half

I agree, could have been handled differently. Why not just put a temp guage in it? Probably cheaper than a scanner.

Dont make a temp guage to my knowledge that doesnt require me hacking up the car and my wife wouldnt be proud of me for that. I bought the scanner on ebay for 60 bucks and no installation.

Why dont the accusers have the sac to come check it out for myself. Maybe we should follow nhra protest rules and i would have some extra bank. To prove i wasnt cheating i left the money behind but only after i was told they had no interest in looking at my car and/or scanner.

I wasn't there either however if any of you have read the NHRA rule book you would know that any electronic device that can read RPM and MPH could be misconstrued as a timer device which is strictly prohibited by NHRA. So what this means no matter the use it is illegal. At a NHRA sanctioned event including NHRA bracket races, you could have been disqualified from the race, your NHRA racing license suspended and a possible fine. This would include any racing vehicle from Jr's up and all NHRA licensed individuals from Jr's up. I don't care either way or who was racing these are the rules black and white no grey area!
