alright fools, here's your wake up call.
bill trail, how long did gateway spend to do the tech inspection on your car??? if the rest of you read some of the posts from those at gateway, you will see they did WHITE GLOVE INSPECTIONS. the cid home page warns you will get the same chicken s!!t run around there. cid is a track that draws a large crowd of bracket racers who do not have cubic dollars to spend on their cars. many can not afford to spend the $19 to $26 a foot for the roll bar padding the track will demand they. the padding they sell for $4 a foot will work just as well, but since sfi did not make money from the sale it is not safe.
all drivers will have a current nhra license for that car, or they will not even be allowed to test.
for every car they fail on a tech inspection who has to go home without making a pass, there is one car who is very unlikely to return. if they want a large car count, they will not get it by pi$$ing racers off. the rule of thumb should be, if the car is basically safe, let it run. minor things, have the right stuff within 30 days. that gives them time to come up with the money for the stuff, while still supporting the track.
the nostalgia races are going to be run using the same rules as last year. WAIT A MINUTE, BOB DID NOT KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING LAST YEAR.
word is out greg does not want a multi time class champ to race there, if he does not show they will draw 4 new cars in his place.
everyone was ready to hang bob because he made a change or two last year. NOW THESE FOOLS COME IN AND AND MAKE WHOLESALE CHANGES, EVERYTHING BUT THE KITCHEN SINK, AND ALL IS RIGHT WITH THE WORLD.
IN A PIGS

IN A PIGS actually it only took them two minutes to tech bill, tech lines were long because there were so many cars(what a problem to have) i hope cid does do a "proper" tech inspection because i would be a lot more comfortable knowing the car in the opposing lane is safe not just "basically safe".

well i waited in line about 2 hours problem child, then when i got to the front of the line Lonnie is right was about 2 minutes i havent heard qanything about white glove inspections so i cant comment on that. Anyone trying to get to indy will have to have a car that passes tech so i cant imagine anyone not wanting to be able to do that. The delay was the amount of cars not the actual inspection 300 plus cars takes awhile.
