Every ones 'taste buds' are different! I take what ever the track gives on that given pass, track will change in just a few passes , oil downs, weather, track temp changes, the tires I run, chassie set up, to many variables to mention, Initial track prep is different as well there are some track managers who adapt the track at the first sign of issues, because the pay attention to the details of certain cars leaving the line, most time it has very little to do with what type of compond they use, some have their own 'secret sauce' ! and know when to use certain technics! my philosophy exactly

yep....kind of what I was saying earlier. Gotta find the sweet spot first though and that takes some experimenting.

Experimenting...I thought thats what last season was? ...Insanity---repeating the same process over and over expecting a different result.

Well...you and I both know that how a product is used is critical to it's performance. As stated by several, VP seems to take more effort to keep up during a race day so, maybe the new regime plans to do things different to make the VP work. I plan to be out the 11th so I'm lookign forward to just smelling smoke again.

Hey Steve. I was there on 4-22 and the track was very good. The sprayer is getting used this year and on a continuos basis. Greg said every two weeks he is going to scrape the track. I am sure that was not done very many times last year. That should help a lot when the heat comes also. My 60' times did not change more than 9 thou last time I was there. So far I am pleased with the traction at CID and only time will tell if it continues. They are also getting the show done in a timely matter now. Went to the final and was done by 6:30 pm. Makes it nice when you can load up, get your check, and drive back to Quincy and be home by 8:30 not midnight!

Thats great to hear. Scraping is very important and I hope it continues on a regular basis. If I hear good reports from the Q16 guys after this weekend I'll bring the bird back there.

When I took my car there opening weekend, it wasnt the 60's I was concerned about, it was the 330' and end that concerned me.
