I thought I saw that Olds going into the water box alot Saturday night. I lost count of how many rounds. Thats one thing I like about our pit spot, I can see the water box from inside the motorhome. Yes, I'm that lazy!
Good Job!

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the Kudos! Went seven rounds, had lots of luck(I'll take it!) and lost to Mike Davis in the final. Both of us had bad bulbs and both broke out. Mike and I have raced against each other a lot, going all the way back to the 70's. The combined age in that final was probably at least 110! Runner-up paid $194.00 and I don't know about the Winner. Suspect it was around $380 to $400 bucks. Thanks again. That car is fun.

Not bad, When I started racing in '95 Street only paid $150 to win. In '96 when I won the championship, I got $150 and a windbreaker. The leather coats were given out in '97. I had to buy my tickets to the awards banquet. When you consider the entery for the points, gas to get to the banquet and tickets, I made less than I spent.

I'm starting to suspect he's got a 75 shot of juice on there somewhere. Heavy car, front tire in the air, looks suspicious.

Thanks for the nice display, Dennis! I stole it from Gateway's facebook. I'm sure it originally came from www.bretkepnerphotos.com

The only extra 'gas' (hot air) in that car belongs to the driver, not in a bottle! ;D

Great looking car too! Is that about a '78 or so year? I had a '78 Olds Cutlass with a 350 Chevy in it. The car is a lot lighter than you'd think, or at least mine was. I don't think it weights much more than a mid '60s Malibu. In fact it might even be lighter in stock configuration.

Thanks, Chaplain. It's a 1979 with an Olds 350 in it. Weighed 3305 lbs. with me in it and about 10 gallons of fuel at the NHRA Open a couple of weeks ago.
