Yes I am like you and everyone else I will never come close to breaking even as far as money is concerned . But I like most people like the illusion that I can recupe my money from a posted payout. I have no doubt you have fun racing like most people. But if every track in the country had free entry and never paid a dime . I would quit racing! Imo nothing good can come of running a " trophy " race . If I win well I should have won. No excitement like wining a money race. If I lose I feel like a complete idiot. I like your post. If I ever win a race, that's when I'll start counting.. I'm up $125,,,, then the following week I'm still up $30.... the week after that, er ahh, I don't keep track of that sort of thing. Or here's a scenario, " I won $400 bucks, I'm gonna buy a new trailer with all my winnings!!!!! Or this probably plays out in a few households each year, "Honey, I have to go racing this weekend. Look at all the money I won for you!" Sure is a good time!

havanas new rule for cars running faster than 6.50 needs a engine diaper, its on there website I believe everyone should run a diaper. You break a motor and your chances of crashing are greatly reduced. I've said before I broke a motor 300 feet out. Rod cap on the track. Hole in diaper and pan. No oil on track no crash

John, you need to read the rules again. ANY CAR RUNNING FASTER THAN A 7.05 WILL HAVE TO HAVE THAT DAIPER NEXT YEAR.
how long will it be before your car will have to have a full rollcage, chassis cert, 3 layer pants and jacket, fire gloves, arm restants, fire shoes, neck collar or hans, and full coverage helmet in a car that runs the 1/8th mile in 9 sec?
