Keep in mind this has been the 2nd best year of my 14 year career. 15 finals so far in 27 races entered between 7 different tracks. Took a pay of some sort or another in all but 4 of the 27 races. Now heres what i can't figure out.
The last 3 weeks i've entered 5 different races between 3 Different tracks and have not won 1 single round. I mean i could seriously be .502 on the tree and run dead on with a 0 and still get beat by .002...It's that bad. Also keep in mind this is no box racing.
At that gamblers at Gateway i run the same car i ran in the last time run, i go .041 to his .345. So 1st round i make a decesion to be a little easy on the tree and somehow end up going .019 instead of another .040 like i had set up for. Well the guy that went .340 just 10 minutes earlier goes .003.....please explain to me how exactly that happens....Sometimes i just hate this sport.
Oh well back at it in 5 days hoping to get that 1 round win... ;D

It happens to me like that also. Some guy at the track for the first time in his life will go .005 dead-on. Put me out and come back and ask his buddies "Did I do good?".

When a "Rookie" gets along side the "best" they take a shot at the tree. That's what I do.

I told my wife last year to dial down 1, she did and still broke out by .0001. After the run I told her not to ever listen to me again.

I can see people takin a shot at it, heck i do that all the time. Sometimes i'm green, sometimes i'm not...But still i feel i can atleast be consistant at the tree. .345 to .003 is not consistant at all..... ;D Lucky duck there for sure! Well, the year ended up on a decent note after that 5 race slump. I had to go over to Ky to get my act together though. Got down to the quarters in Super Pro and the Semis in Footbrake @ Owensboro 2 weeks ago. Buyback and Mulligan race so that was 8 rounds in super and 9 in Pro...what a LOOOONG night. Sure would've loved to gotten another wally though. Maybe next year..... Scotty Vaughn
