If I remember correctly TCI says do not put in neutral trans damage may accure

No way am I going to shut off my engine after the finish line. All your doing is cooking the torque converter with hot trans fluid. I will not put the car in neutral either. I use a very good top of the line shifter so that is not the case. IMO if your car is in neutral after the line it is much harder on the brakes than normal. Basically its just a run away bullet. I have run between 300 & 400 passes on my bracket motor using the let it wind down method and have never had and engine failure because of it. My engine builder has not seen any signs of bearing wear because of my methods.

The only procedure i have from now on is nowing how many return road exits there are.... ;D

I seen a Vega do an endo b/c the guy threw it in nuetral going across the finish line. This is before reverse lockout's and he didn't make nuetral, he made reverse.

I let mine slow down in high gear, then shift into 2nd when turning on return road.
