Started racing at the age of two and won when I beat the ball to the bottom of the stairs. Obviously a helmet was in my future, or so the Dr. indicated. Several years later I would be the undisputed holder of the bike downhill record through the gravel and into the creek. An incident with a car precipitated a course change to the woods; where there were too many trees to actually make it to the creek, though there were several attempts. In high school I was known for "road" racing; not dragging on Hall St. or finding top end on the highway, but rather on the back 2 (or less) lanes. Some how I survived these early efforts.
After helping some friends for a couple of years, I took to building my own car and began circle track at Lakehill and the first nights at Pevely in 1976; and I finally bought that helmet. A relocation to Albuquerque, New Mexico found me at Thunderbird Raceway and also a co-worker introduced me to Autocrossing. Several years ago I added RallyCross and have a couple of National Championship Titles. I have also held a National License in Flagging and Communication (cornerworker) for many years, helped run the "Race Management Team" and "Race Event Volunteer" groups at GMP since the new facility was built, and head up the GMP Cornerworker staff;; among other duties and activities. I have and do participate in just about all motorsport activities in one manner or another and including "Stage Rally", racing in the woods. I am a 32 year member of the Sports Car Club of America and have driven Rotary Engine Vehicles since 1973. I am also open to offers of sponsorship and/or contracted driving. Can't wait until the 2013 season begins, which is probably Feb. 22 - 23, 2013 - "The Rally in the 100 Acre Wood", (Stage Rally) www.100aw.org/
In the mean time you could find me at the Road Racing Information Meeting this Sunday, Dec. 9th with "GRRG" (member of yet another race minded group). Feel free to join us!
