1st Post - End of Year Racing Question

Hi guys,

My name is Marc Arnold. Been racing my n/a '93 Cobra for quite a while, but it has been a tough year with clutch explosion earlier this spring. Finally bit the proverbial bullet and have replaced the diaphragm setup with an adjustable 3-finger clutch. Now I need to see if this thing will work.

I am wondering how much the tracks will stay open this year. Appears GWMP is having Wed TNT through mid Nov. Is this correct? Is Benton (I57) still open? Also appears Beach Bend is open on Saturdays through mid Nov. Are there any others you are aware of?

I really need a 1/4 mile track to get the counter weight tuned in properly.

At any rate, nice site. Seems like a good group of local racers here.

No Limit Raceway in Morocco,IN is open through November. It's a good hooking 1/4 mile track. I made it up there once this year.

I think GMP is having a Midnight Madness this Friday. It could be the last one of the year. Maybe you can get some passes in there.

They added the Oct 27th race at GMP ,if weather is good traction and car count will be big .

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I haven't been up to Morocco since, wow, 2004 I think. I thought that track has been through some tough ownership/management issues over last several years hasn't it?

Regarding GMP, is it true racers are entering the old entrance now, avoiding the gravel pit in back?

Not to my knowledge. Every time I've raced we entered off of Collinsville Road and exited on to 203.
