Any board member can answer questions at any time.
Weekend questions. The inmates are running the asylum.
I'll post the first question. Whoever answers it correctly gets 2 points and gets to ask the next question. You must answer a question before you can ask one.
You guys can play all weekend BUT you will only get credit for the first question you answer correctly.
That way 2 people can't bounce question back and forth and rack up points. So feel free to ask and answer as many as you like. You will only get 2 points.

Why are super comp drivers required to remove their hand brakes before racing in NHRA?

I'll throw a red flag on this one. I couldn't find it with a reasonable amount of searching.
Give us the answer when you get a chance.
I'll put up another question.
What was the name of the kid that owned the Plymouth "Christine".

What was the name of the kid that owned the Plymouth "Christine". Its only one of the most talked about things on several dragracing sites such as dragraceresults or how about the NHRA rule book. Next time I'll ask a dumb boring question such as. What color is the green light on the Christmas tree? It is bc NHRA does not allow independant braking systems. You can have two master cyliders, calipers etc. but must be operated with one pedal. Which is dumb bc when you have a failure you then have no backup.

Green! and if you see it your too late! ;D You didn't answer the question. Why are super comp drivers required to remove their hand brakes before racing in NHRA? I think most of the people on here could've answered "Because it's a rule". I know NHRA doesn't allow independant systems but why? I have my theories but what is the official NHRA statement. That's what I couldn't find.

The reasons behind it are twofold 1. They think people will be cheating using some sort of autobraking to slow the car. 2. They think there will be excessive braking. (this is really dumb bc they will allow you to have dual everything but must be run off the same pedal, now that will cause excessive breaking)

As for as the green light statement, i watch it everytime I leave (except when it forgets to come one) bc I need to estimate my light to have an idea of what i need to do when going down the track.

As for as the green light statement, i watch it everytime I leave (except when it forgets to come one) bc I need to estimate my light to have an idea of what i need to do when going down the track. I figured it was an excessive breaking rule but I couldn't confirm it. The green light statement refers more to the footbrake cars. Meaning if you wait to see it before you leave, you are late.
