Will that be cash, credit or meteorite?
Not a question dealers ask often. But Landers Harley-Davidson in Cabot, Ark., swapped a motorcycle for a meteorite a local man found in his back yard.
Jim Griffey, 63, hit a rock when he was digging holes to plant trees in his garden. He dug out the rock and tossed it aside, but later took a closer look.
"I've got a few interesting rocks in my shed. One has some fossils in it another is some fool's gold," Griffey told Visordown. He held a magnet to the rock and got a surprise:
"The dang magnet shot right to it. I'm pretty sure it charged the magnet," Griffey says.
He called Landers Harley-Davidson to ask if they would trade a motorcycle for the meteorite, saying, "You know I don't mind taking an old Harley that will smoke ‘cause I'm 63 and I smoke a little bit too." The dealership agreed, and Griffey got his bike.
