Saturday July 16th Janie Palm Stomped her way through 7 rounds of competition to win the 2 Wheel Speed Hard Core Racing event in Byron, netting her a cool $1000. The first 5 rounds were to win her class. Then next 2 rounds were against the winners of the other classes in which she didn't hesitate to flex some muscle against the best they had to offer. The Punisher Hayabusa was in the zone running multiple dead on's and running as smooth as glass down the quarter mile. The man himself, Charles Willis knocked the cob webs off of his 2008 Busa and made it down to 3 bikes in his class scoring a bye run along the way and having posted the best reaction times of almost every round. It was a fantastic showing only being his 2nd time to the track this year. Casey and I really enjoyed watching these motorcycles go round after round and collecting wins. Charles and Janie made sure all of the bikes were fueled up, maintained and ready to go at all times. The racing was great and the hospitality was even better. Thank you Willis Racing for yet another success story from the 1/4 mile.
This was the first time this year a street bike has won the overall event and the ONLY time a female racer has won.
