A bill in Pennsylvania’s House of Representatives would make Harley-Davidson the official motorcycle of the state.
Rep. William Kortz (D-Allegheny County) sponsored the legislation as a nod to the manufacturer's operations in Springettsbury Township. If approved, the designation would take effect within 60 days, according to the York Daily Record
"Thousands of Harley-Davidson enthusiasts have trekked to York to witness firsthand the living legacy of Harley-Davidson USA," the bill states. "The Harley-Davidson motorcycle is a true-blue American iron horse manufactured in Pennsylvania by American workers using American steel."
Wisconsin legislators made Harley-Davidson the state's official motorcycle in February.
