Explain how a racer can win a race with a "worse" package.
.002 package beats a .001
Racer #1 Racer #2 Dial 5.00 6.09 R/T .000 .001 E/T 5.001 6.091
Racer #2 wins, explain how.

Racer 1 crosses the center line or hits the wall.

That is a correct answer but not the one I was thinking of.
This kinda reminds me of the old cheers episode where Cliff goes on Jeopardy and answers "who are 3 people that have never been in my kitchen"
Keep trying

Racer 1 crosses the center line or hits the wall. I don't think that racer 1 would have hit the wall and ran dead on with a 1....lol. Unless he dialed for it... ;D My guess is racer #2 took a pretty decent size bump in the stage beams and was lucky enough to still hit the tree and not go red, hence the head start by about 1-2 inches or .001 to .004 starting line advange. Then of course there is the ever dreaded .000 redlight, had one of them 2 weeks ago at Owensboro. Scotty Vaughn

Scotty Vaughn The stage depth would not effect the outcome of the race. The numbers printed are what each car performed regardless of the stage depth. Think deeper.

Man, he must be holding alot to bounce it off the wall and go dead on. ;D Of course I used to do that in the old burnout pce computer game.

Time ticket doesn't show the 4th or more digit. Racer 2 has .0000 and racer 1 has .0009 for example

I think most timing systems go down to 1/1000000 of a second, but don't show more than 4 places. At least all the IHRA tracks I have raced on show 4 decimals.
