where would ya get a drum at I spoke to a driver for Sieveking. He told me that they can get E85 in bulk (200 gallons minimum). They do not keep it in stock, as they only have a couple of customers wanting it. So, you could contact them directly, and they could purchase 200 gallons at a time for you (maybe you could work out a group purchase...). (Another possibility: get a drum and buy 50 gallons of E85 at a time, putting all the fuel in the drum...at least that way you would keep a consistent batch. When you restock, you may need to see how your care's performance varies, if any, from batch #1 to batch #2.)

yea tim i heard its a good ideal to buy in quaility as it can change from batch to batch at the pump, like any other fuel is which is what i would do is get a barrel, and atester is 15.bucks,at 2.77 gal at the pump here beats 7.00 a gal for race gas, alky seems like it would be a trouble when you can get the same benifets from e-85 and have to buy less to make it work

I run a BG400 pump,#12 from fuel cell to pump,#10 from pump to filter and then to regulator, then 2 #8 to each bowl on the carb. I run 7 psi fuel pressure. The pinto runs 10.0 and it uses about 5 gallons in 7 1/4 mile passes.

I had Ken build me a carb last spring and switched to E85. Worked out very well for me. My car ran in the heat what it used to run only in the good air spring and fall. I only ran a Holley black pump, 1/2 line to a Holley regulator 8an line to a log on the carb. Bumped the pressure up to 7 psi and never had a problem. My Grand Am ran with a 406 sbc ran 6.23s with a 1.24 60 at midstate last fall. It only make sense that the boosters will have to be increased as well if you are changing over a gas carb. You will use about 25 to 30 percent more fuel on E85, but it's still much cheaper than race gas. We'll be switching over my Pontiac 406 this season, if it don't sell.

I have a Justus Daniel E85 Dominator on a 468 dragster and my son has a 2000 Corvette running a Vortech supercharger at 14 pounds boost and E85 on the street. We both love E85. At our local gas station near Buffalo NY it has always measured between 84 and 87 percent ethanol.
