The problems with the chips at Gateway has been addressed and will be fixed before the next race. There will be enough chips for everybody to pull at one time. The numbering or coding will be figured out also.
I thought before they had 1R, 1L on them. If that is so, did the fast bike still get lane choice?

My informants tell me no. If it says left lane then you go to the left lane. Maybe some of the bike racers will chime in on this.
Thank you for getting this taken care of. This should keep 2 people from racing each other over and over.

In the past the chips did tell you which lane to run in, didn't matter who was fastest; as far as in the future I really don't care one way or another.

they used to have two of each color to make a pair, and one had an L, and one had an R, designating your lane. Lately we've had several of the same colors, and L's and R's, and 1's, and 2's on them but nobody seemed to know what all that meant. The last couple races, we would start drawing chips until there were several of the same color and everyone was confused, then we'd put some of them back in the bag and re-draw. It will be nice to have a fair system that works and use it every time so there is no confusion.
The L's and R's dont bother me at all, but I always thought the quicker bike should have lane choice just like every other class. Once we're on the ladder, the quicker bike has lane choice, so why not the early rounds...as I said, makes no difference to me, I can screw up equally bad in either lane ;D

Thanks Mark, yeah, I've won rounds (and races) from both lanes, but it seems like the screw ups are the ones that stick in my memory like a damm rock stuck in your shoe, but the memory's are harder to shake out.
