I think it’s just to long of a haul for me next year. You never know. I think some guys could fly there in sportsman and rent a car to race and maybe some superpro guys could double or triple up in stackers to save fuel and wear in tear

Think this will have effect on some tracks points racers . Really, if think about it, lot tracks could seek out better sponsorship for the classes, come out with nice payouts structure, end of year bonuses in each class so as most join in just work at a track championship run. Then whoever could go to finals could go if they so chose Be nice to see weekly points payouts increase, end of year celebrations to include top ten points runners. Possibly top 15 receive something for the effort Just thought

The points series is the lifeline of a tracks weekly program. Gateway made many improvements last season to make their points series more appealing, but then s**t all over the Champions at the end of the season by not even putting out a single post on their champions. They had some great points races this season, the most cars enrolled that they have had in many years, and then just blew off the entire series the second the final points race was over! Yes, I am a little bitter over it, as I had not ran points in several years and decided to do it this year with all the improvements they made, only to be kicked in the balls when it was all over! Rod had been racing at Gateway for many years and it was his 1st championship! I am sure he feels a little disrespected himself, it was a bad thing by Gateway on that part!

That does suck for the champions this year . And yes it was maybe the most people ever signed up in superpro? So this years champs really earned there money .

I agree and hope we can get a good group together to celebrate the champions ourselves this winter. It’s a hell of an accomplishment and deserves recognition.
