Always thought it would be cool if that race moved around each year. Norwalk is the nicest race track there is, but it is a long drive and not many from Gateway will be willing to drive that far for that particular race. That's just my opinion. I will be there for sure 2 weeks after the bracket finals for the big no box race, may have to look into arranging keeping my stuff out there somewhere close.

I could be wrong, but I see how difficult it is to get a group to go to Indy, now you add another 4 hours further and I don't think a lot will be willing to go that far.

Each year move it around to the huge tracks in D3 and gear up to make a run at it when it’s closer

Read that this will help 3-4 tracks, hurt 12? I still plan on running points , not that I’ll ever make the cut, gives me the persuasion to go racing and push to try be better racer. With it being 7-8 hour drive no way I’ll ever drive that far

Its not 8 hours more drive time, it is 4.0-4.5 hours more drive time. I just towed there in September. For most this will suck I agree, but with all the issues the facility at Indy has caused that event over the last several years, moving this event to the nicest and most professionally ran facility, will be better for the event. I already plan to go back to Norwalk next year for their big no box race two weeks after the bracket finals, if I cannot make the trip twice, I will choose to only go to the no box race because its the best paying bracket race payout structure I have ever seen, but if I can arrange a place to keep my rig up there, I will go to both.

Boys and Girls, it's a different distance for every racer . It's almost 550 miles for me, 10 hours, maybe I take the scenic route ? Been there over a dozen times for the Pontiac Nationals. It's worth the trip !

I think winning the finals in any other class than superpro is still incredible and definitely the “Big race” for all sportsman and bike guys . But in the last 6 or so years for pro cars and atleast 10 years for superpro. Big money races have stole the luster . And now traveling 8 plus hours for a 4k ish race is not something most top bulb guys will do
