I have been hearing a lot of rumors about who will be the new manager. What have the rest of you been hearing?

Hate to say it , but one thing Gebharts did do was run a great dragstrip The IHRA deal hurt it for sure, management done rest, maybe more management than anything. One thing is for sure No racers, no track

I find it hard to believe no one is hearing any rumors about the future of the track.
Frank has dropped the price of the track, but no new rumors

there is a video on the fan page where 309 autoworx talks about the track. it's 2 weeks old, but hearing the track has been sold. hope this is true because it is a nice place to race.
liked what I heard from them. they seem to be willing to drop some of the bull s it rules from the last fool.
he said they have several cars and he likes to grudge race.

I've been told the track is sold. They have approached the guy that heads our nostalgia pro stock group about a possible 4 car match race

the track will not be opening this year. on 309autoworx fb page they have a recorded live feed talking about what happened.
it seems as if some people do not get their way in how the track is run or who manages it, they will do what ever they have to to see it close. He states they would not operate the track under some bodies thumb. If you want the track ran your way, cough up the money and buy it!
this is not the first time there has been backstabbing happening there, but this is probably a new low

I guess I don't understand what is going on there, I thought the track was for sale? If it sells, can't they manage and run it however they want?

did you watch the video? some of the neighbors object to the track running, because of the noise.
he says they have proof of what is going on and some names, but didn't name names. wish he had.
Frank has the track listed with a real estate agent, asking $650,000. if that track was run correctly it will make money, it's the only track within at least 100 miles.

First problem is it’s in Illinois and any business here is struggling. Look at all the hoops gateway is having to go through, reservation of tech card through apps and timeslips software to buy to text timeslips ect

I don't want to hijack this thread. But, regarding WWTR, the App and the timeslip software (which I was not aware of) are ridiculous in order for them to open up "properly". That $15 transaction fee for using Pit Pay is an expense no racer is ready for. Coles County didn't do any of that in order to start running. I understand the deal with Coles County opening and I'm sure they are getting away with it now because they are small and out in the middle of nowhere, but Gateway is very large and in a spot where the world knows when they are open. Right or wrong, they are going to be held to higher standards and that's a fact! Its like a little hole in the wall bar and grill in small town and Fast Eddies Bon Air, they will both not get away with it.

Rod at Coles County said Chris Blair played a roll in getting the ball rolling at CCD. I think they are using it as a test in Illinois. Rod told me, the lawyer said they could open wide up. Rod didn't want to draw a lot of attention and ruin it for other tracks circle or drag strip

some people have always tried to tell the manager how to run the track. some have even went over the line as to what is acceptable trying to get their way.
you only see my cars at any track for t n t, because I had never gotten the cars to run the same each pass, besides I need a lot of seat time to get back to where I want to be.
