Think it did the 1st or 2nd race weekend. I don't like it either. Even my slow truck is past it before it comes on.

Back when I started racing at mar they didn’t have drivers win lights. You had white and yellow tickets and jack would mess with you sometimes by pretending to hand you the yellow one.

One of my greatest racing memories was at Benton, MO. Tommy was handing out time slips. You didn't know until you got the slip who won. I had raced the black AMX in the final of S/P. I saw Tommy hand him his slip no big deal. Then as soon as he pulled away Tommy started jumping up and down doing fist pumps, etc. That was so much fun that day. I think he was about 10 then.

I just dug up some old 1998 time slips from MAR. when I raced the RED ONE. They're starting to fade that you can't hardly tell what the color is ?? But I got a few yellow one's.

My big yellow/ white moment was in the sportsman final against “ the Jimmie “ at mid state in 2011 and Bob Gibson was handing out time slips and didn’t know who should get the yellow and who should get the white in that final ? Lol

My first time at MAR was the summer of 1964. I took my 59 Cat 389 2-V and entered "showroom" stock. Paired up with a 62 Cat 389 2 -V. Both of my doors were shaking on the hinges at the stripe. I could always beat my buddies 62 Cat on the street. Those were the days when cheating was ...................

I'm old 2 remember the color tickets also but this is 2019 both tickets given now are white with winner>>> printed so waiting in line to get your ticket as racer in front of you has to look at ticket before they move on is a good reason for light on wall Kinda nice there is a light on wall that's actually been there many years but Flashing now and it needs changed back to a constant light

Before the yellow and white ones they were hand written. It seems like I remember sifting through a basket of slips looking for the one with your car number. They didn’t even hand them out to you. It had a w or l on it.
