if any one on here wants to see reasons that tracks close, just read them. the rules for the 0 to 8.0 box/no box class would make me not run that class. all cars must have a diaper. they pick the semi and quarter winners. diaper on any street car that can run 6.99. closed at least one or 2 weekends a month.

You are correct. This is by far the worst rules payout ever at a dragstrip. First the box no box says 1984 nod older. There goes 75 percent of possible entry’s . Then possibly $90 to enter for 400 to win in modified. Unreal

I think they only run that at nostalgia races. They pick the winner means the loser of the no box final and loser of the box finals will be either both semis or one semi and one of the quarters. They do this by who went more rounds. It’s actually makes sense and is the most fair. If not you could have the no box finalist that loses round 4 getting the same money as the box finalist that loses rd 5

sorry Kevin, I just double checked and this is Havanas section.
all cars running the box/no box class must have a diaper? but other classes you have to run faster than 7.0.
if you read the rules for the real street class, you must have slicks, cheater slicks or drag radicals. what about a guy who just wants to make a few passes in his daily driver on a friday nite test and tune, does he have to buy or borrow race tires?
that track is only 45 miles from my house, but I question if I will go there.

The diaper rule is the best rule the track has. Eliminates a lot of down time Chris and I run their q16 races and enjoy going there Good competition friendly people and your not at the track 14 hours.

Havana used to be very nice track , lots of racers, now since implementing these rules lost lot of every weekend racers that used to go there. Now only open once in while , cancel for personal reasons, it's crap shoot if I ever go there , sad Great track, losing potential every year. Me n mark n Tom would go Friday, stay race Saturday, not anymore,
