CHASSIS CERTIFICATION AHRA will be here on March 24th and 31st If you need your chassis certified it can be done then... You may ask why would I have AHRA certify my chassis? Your AHRA chassis certification is good at all bracket races no matter what sanctioning body and it only costs $80.00 rather than $150.00 The AHRA certification is not goot at other sanctioning bodies National or Division events. If all you do is Bracket Race and your chassis requires certification it makes sence to save $70.00. Certification good for 3 years. If you want to get your car certified let us know and we'll put you on the list. Some of you guys race at different tracks and AHRA offers a cheaper SFI Chassis Certification for bracket racers. Chassis Certification will take place between 9:00am and 4:00pm on Saturday March 24th. As far as tech at Jeffers, nothing has changed... We'll do a once a year simple inspection, we'll make sure you have a car number and your good to go.

With chassis certs only good at AHRA tracks, ( like other associations, not good at other association), other AHRA are around close .

AHRA certification is NOT good at a NHRA sanctioned track. Brackets or otherwise. AHRA corrected their post on facebook last night. IHRA recognizes NHRA but not the other way around

I need to get this information out there! Earlier there was a discussion on the Jeffers MSP page as to the validity of an AHRA Chassis Certification being accepted at NHRA races that were not Divisional or National events. We at the AHRA were under the impression this was correct and that all cars bearing the AHRA chassis tag were allowed to run NHRA "Bracket" races. Since there was a disagreement of the statement being true, we decided to contact the NHRA directly and ask the same question. This was to ensure that we were providing the most current and correct information possible, to make sure that "YOU" the sportsman racer that we work for, was not getting bum info and paying for something not needed. The answer is NO, the NHRA no longer accepts an AHRA chassis certification at any NHRA track or race including bracket races. Its not just the AHRA, its ANY other sanctioning bodies chassis certification. NO IHRA, PDRA, AHRA. This was not really a surprise as a few years ago they stopped accepting licenses from other bodies as well and was most likely when the chassis certs changed too. Now, the reason we offer chassis certifications was to save the little guy some money. If you intended to run only at Jeffers (or any AHRA, IHRA, PDRA, ADRL, ANYONE ELSE tracks for that matter) it was a cost savings that we passed onto you by doing the certs at cost. If you want an NHRA chassis cert, get one. If you don't want a certification, don't get one. It only makes your race car more valuable and desirable if you want to ever sell it, oh and if it passes an AHRA Chassis Cert...it WILL PASS an NHRA Cert as its an SFI industry standard. It is a legality issue with the NHRA and not a cert standard issue. They will tell you the same thing. We are not requiring anyone to get one, we are just offering the service for anyone who feels they would like a chassis certification that is an SFI industry standard for drag race cars and is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than anyone else. I apologize if this caused any confusion and I hope it clears any confusion up. If anyone wants to contact me my office number is (615) 580-3137. We will be at Jeffers on the 24th and 31st to provide this service if anyone is interested, I hope to see you there!

IHRA recognizes NHRA but not the other way around The NHRA does not play well with others. It's their way or the highway. The folks at the NHRA used to get upset if you showed up at one of their events sporting any IHRA decals.
