What's the word on this race? Is anyone going? It looks like a decent deal and would like to support it.

I do not like the format of the race at all, but its close to home so I will probably be there.

I'm going because it works in my set in stone schedule (that was for my mopar buddies..lol) it's close to home and doesn't conflict with anything better so I'm in....probably won't pre enter though,if the shoot out isn't full then I'll enter when I get there

Everyone stay safe out there whatever you're doing, it's going to be 92 degrees on Sunday The forecast has been saying 97 to 98 for awhile until today. I think the low turnout on the 98 degree day two weeks ago showed no signs of a decent car count or purse for the weekend. I would hate to see a flop on the first attempt at a big $ race there in awhile.

The payout to fee ratio almost guarantees a low csr count. Hot weather was just icing on the cake.

The payout to fee ratio almost guarantees a low csr count. Hot weather was just icing on the cake. This is the truth! I want this track to succeed as much as anyone does as I consider it my home track and its close to home, but at a time when big money bracket racing is booming probably at a higher level than it ever has, there is no reason to try and reinvent the wheel on a race! I would be all for helping them put together an event that will be successful as I'm sure many would, but every time they attempt one of these bigger money races, they try to put their own touch to it and then it fails! It really bums me out!

The payout to fee ratio almost guarantees a low csr count. Hot weather was just icing on the cake. It’s a carbon copy of Benton’s mega bucks times 2 ,with the potential to pay 4 or 6 times Benton’s payout ! So why is this race such a horrible deal compared to the low overhead Mom and pop track down the street that would never double or triple their purse if more entries showed?

It’s a darn if you do damned if you don’t type a thing can’t make everybody happy I guess

I was planning on going but only because it was local and I would have saved money in diesel fuel. It is the worst by far of any so called big money bracket race that I have seen this year. Look at just the competition this weekend. Loose Rocker in Ohio. Three 20k to win 6k runner up for 499 weekend entry with only one round of buyback. Memphis three fives for 200 entry. Why would anyone drive to Gateway to race two days for less than ten grand a day for a 400 entry?
