It doesn't matter the track test n tunes are the tracks way of giving its racers other racers a chance to bring thier cars bikes what ever and make adjustments If the track is savy it can bring in a lot of racers and spectators Most time tho it's ran as a loss It's really tough for havana to get rolling this year Weather hasn't been kind even if it's a chance of rain some won't load car up n travel for standard bracket race This weather not only messing with dragstrips everywhere The county fair has allready canceled just about all activities so it's not just racing that's been affected

IMO T&Ts are not designed for racers to begin with. They are designed to bring in a customer (I hate to call them racers) that they usually don't see. I bet most of the T&T guys at GMP have never competed and don't plan on ever competing in a bracket race.
A guy can take his v6 Mustang to the track then brag all week about the cars he beat. He can claim to have out run a blown Camaro with wheelie bars and a parachute and nobody knows the difference. There are no trophies or checks to prove wins.

The Friday night test and tunes I have taken advantage of a few times over the years and I am glad they added them. It's the only place around that provides a decent race track for test and tune nights and being on Friday night has been convenient for me at least. Theres a compliment to go with my complaint from earlier...

The Alewelt-Burns & Bangert team is pulling into CID tomorrow afternoon and looking forward to a few test passes before we go into Saturday. I almost hesitate with an announcement of the Nostalgia Quick Series race # 5. Its actually # 1 with everything to date being rained out. So here we go ! Hope to see you there! George
