I can't believe this is the end of May and no races yet this year. I guess they think the NOSTALGIA RACES will be enough to make up for the bracket racers. With all the changes at CID, I decided it was time to sell the car and Quit. Health isn't getting any better, but that isn't the main reason I decided to call it quits. They have spent a lot of money improving the track, BUT they need to improve the way the track is run. They need to realize that the bracket racers is what pays the bills. The NOSTALGIA RACE CARS will only pull crowds a couple times a year, look at the schedule. GOOD LUCK bracket racers that call CID their home track.

They cancelled this weekends Nostalgia event because they are forecasting rain. It will be the same weekend as the footbrake challenge. I'm afraid that will be a very long day.

yeah they put it in the same weekend as the footbrake challenge which they was going to allow 3 cards per car that day now u put nostalgia in with it so are they going to limit the number of cars for the nostalgia event hahahah yeah right so footbrake racers be prepared to only get 1 card and no buybacks for that challenge they are putting on at that track

July 11th marks the 2nd points race of the 2015 season. Hope everyone found somewhere else to race this year and aren't just sitting at home losing interest.
There are a lot of people that race at CID that are very passionate about the sport. Hate to see the lack of passion shown by current management, but I guess it all pays the same - race or not. I'll waive as I drive by the closed gates this weekend on my 3+ hour trip to Cordova...

That sucks . I guess a lot of the locals run points at GMP and Cordova now?

Cordova & Byron for me. Thing that sucks for us is we built a 2nd car (Pro) for my wife. Cant afford to travel with both so it will end up parked until we go to CID. If I go to CCD or GMP, we would take it and not the dragster. Just sucks to have one car parked regardless.
I can say we have started talking and if CID keeps the low race schedule into 2016...I will likely travel 100% of the year. I want to hit the No box races next year for sure.

Granted we have had terrible weather this year for racing, but the schedule was made long before the weather came into play. Rain out sat. races should be held on Sunday. Why do they have a T&T every Friday night, if the track is not making money? It cost the same to be open for T&T as it does for racing. Cutting the bracket races don't make any sense to me. If they think having more Nostalgia type races is going to bring in more money they better rethink that. The spectators will only come for special events a couple times a year. There is no reason they couldn't run both together. We did it before, yes it was a long day, but very do able.

they were closed Memorial day weekend, closed for fathers day weekend, closed for 4th of July weekend and closed for labor day weekend. does anyone else see a pattern here?

There in no payout at a T&T. The track keeps all the money. T&T's can be more profitable than other events.

that depends on car count and if the track is prepped or not, if the track is not prepped a test and tune is a waste of most racers time. if it is prepped that is not cheap, have to pay a limited staff, emt(s) and hope you draw some cars. on the other hand a well run bracket program with a good payout will bring in a lot more $ then any test and tune i have seen, especially at a track like havana where you don't have a huge population to draw from within a hour or so drive time. this only my opinion and is subject to criticism
