Rule book doesn't allow them im a no delay class They have just been not enforced Dennis, For the millionth time please explain to me if they are not allowed in non delay classes, then why does NHRA have a complete list of buttons (adjustable and non adjustable both) that are approved in NHRA NON DELAY CLASSES!

Scott, doesn't this make you wish you had a car to race in the oh so controversial pro class? Wait until someone wins 1st weekend with an adjustable button in their car! __it will really get good then!

Clay, nope I'm busing fine tuning my own set of cheating devices for my class. Although, maybe I should... because this thread has made me think of a couple of ideas to slightly alter a cars reaction time that aren't mentioned in the rule book and would use a non adjustable switch. Scott

I got the best method for any of you. I am going to take an optical sensor and point it at the third amber. The optical sensor will activate an electric shock device that will be mounted in my button. I will not look at the tree as to not influence my reaction. When the optic sensor sees the bulb I get a shock and let go of the button (real reaction, no anticipation) I will then fine tune the car for my lights. Optical sensor will be legal bc it will be controlling no functions of the car. Only problem will be if shock is too much I will get scared and let go of button before I get shocked. This will also work in sp if I point it at the top or for that matter it will be so deadly I'll go off the bottom.

I don't know how to put pics on here, but I picture our conversation after a couple weeks of you doing this, to be like the stuttering guy in caddyshack that had been struck by lighting!

Hopefully you get an accurate optical sensor or you will get zapped each time a bulb goes off. If the tree isn't blinded, you're could get zapped 7 or 8 times before you take off! You'll look like Clay's Avatar!
And no matter what she says, size does matter...Pretty sure NHRA won't approve a switch over two inches.

I'm going to get a blinder on a really long pile and cover my opponents side of the tree so they can't see it.
