I'm sure we ran with them last year. I don't think there is any bracket class at all

I believe this is a completely different deal than what was there last year. Not sure, but I think this is the event they had the year before the track closed, which was much larger than the event from last year. It was big enough that there was no way to mix in a regular race with it.

I'm almost positive there was bracket race with it as I ran pro gas. I would not have went to the track and only ran one class. I also remember Jason being there and he wouldn't have come if there wasn't bracket racing that night.

Running pro gas was fun last year but I don't know if I'll go just for that one class this year.

This made it even more fun
Quick Fuel PRO Gas qualifying was to the lanes first and it didn’t take long for that to get exciting. B/Gas regulars rose to the top quickly with local racer Butch Hill running .014 over to take the top spot but he wasn’t there long as Rob Davis followed that pass running .010 to take and hold the top spot and the bye run going into Eliminations. Semifinal pairings were decided with Dave Mullin rolling through the beams handing the win over to Frankie Radake advancing him to the final with Jeremy McKague who was advancing from his bye run. The final was decided on the starting line with McKague taking a huge advantage and carrying it out for his first NDRL Victory.

Is this entirely a Gateway event or a track rental? I think it could be a really cool event. Like usual, listing the payout would be a great help. What they don't realize is without listing the payout, a whole lot of racers will just overlook it and plan something else. If no payout is listed, I just pass it by. I haven't raced points since the track reopened for the same reason. Why commit if I don't know what I'm racing for. I'm going to go to this event. I'll probably bring 20-30 spectators with me. I hope it's a good show. I dont think I could get 20 or 30 people to show up for my funeral

I have a new car that everyone wants to see run. I thought this would be the perfect event to bring it out. Unfortunately, I don't see it being ready. Work getting in the way of fun again.

Surely more info will be out this week ?? Until then I'll start a rumor. Very few rules, very few of them enforced, payout $0, you'll be racing for trophys just like I did back in the '60's. Hey, it's a NOSTALGIA RACE.
Don't forget the "rainout policy"
