I wonder why people with slower, lower horsepower cars don't use a small, belt-driven supercharger to step them up in bracket racing? Don't see what could make them particularly inconsistent.

I'd like to put one on the altered but being a front engine car, I'd have to go to a /15 or /20 suit.

I worked with a team years ago that had a 6-71 blown small block they bracket raced. I'm not saying it's a terrible idea. I see some blown dragsters on Alc. run extremely consistent and crazy fast. So it can work well. But for us, it seemed to add one more variable to worry about. Supercharges build a lot of heat and they will produce more or less boost depending on that heat. And the heat in the supercharger will not necessarily follow the temperature in the engine or the oil. Just what I've seen.
