What is a good oil pan to use for 454 -stock stroke in a stock A-body frame? I used a Steff's aluminum pan and it rubbed on the center link. Used a deep Morroso pan. It worked ok but it hung too low and is bent up now. Suggestion?

It's been in Brad's car for years Pat. The "New and improved" Caddy motor is going together this week though.

Knew about the older one, Jim. The 'N & I' one is what I was referring to for your car. Good luck.

I've found that the corvette pan from Gm works very well. ..they are under $100 and still sold at all parts counters. They have windage tray and baffling Not sure if they will clear A body or not

Moroso 20408 - Moroso Street/Strip Oil Pans 8" deep (the imitation style of these are 8.5" deep)
If you use the moroso steel mounts this pan will be even with the bottom of the crossmember, I have a new Corvette style LS-7 pan and rail stiffeners, but I do not think that will fit a 70-72 style A body with mounts in the stock location, it has a really long (front to back) sump. You are more than welcome to try the LS-7 pan for fit...I also have a used 20408 pan you can try. The stock 396/375hp style GM pan is definitely good to 10.70's.
I always run the windage tray in the 20408 pan. The GM windage tray is much better than the Moroso teflon coated one, the Moroso always ripped at the oil pump stud, I always blamed the rip /crack from using the 2 step.
