Yes it was javon androff. He was to nice to ask for a rerun against Tim sieble. I ask him that night and he said they told him before they ran that it would be on. He said it didn't matter as he couldn't run the number.

I'm having flashbacks that I have had nightmares about for 13 years . Back in 2001 at Pomona first round I was dialed 7.97 to a door cars 9.50 and the tree was totally blinded and crosstalk wasn't invented yet . All I know was we were both staged and he was on the two step and boom here is my top bulb and I'm .117 and headed to the trailer . The guy who won that year was on the stop from div 5 and the slowest of all 7 cars . He was used to that type of tree and had a cake walk against the faster cars.

Yeah when we used to go to the Division 5 finals everyone was on the stop. Almost all dragsters were dialed in the 10's and 11's.

So if a car won pro, then got paired with the s/p car in the king of the track run off, the pro car can't use a box?

When I won, it was best package. Everyone made a single pass. Seemed like a lot less controversy.

If I was thinking I should have ran the mustang against Lou in the champion thing. He would have been screwed then . With no crosstalk

If I was thinking I should have ran the mustang against Lou in the champion thing. He would have been screwed then . With no crosstalk We were talking about this when you went up. We thought you would take the mustang since it had been run more recently, less prone to cold track and most likely his light would have been poor after waiting multiple seconds on his top light to come on. Of course all this is easy to say now that we know how it turned out. Monday morning quarterback at its finest.

Lou had no idea crosstalk was off till I told him " don't crossover anymore starting this round"

I could be wrong, but I thought they turned off the scoreboard so you didn't know the other packages and have any advantage. The bikes ran on Fridays then so they had already ran. The only advantage the dragster had was the transbrake, air shifter, delay box and methanol... I had my trusty right boot, Hurst quarter stick and tachometer.
