Saw that an altered ran 5.23. Did he have 2 or 4 wheel brakes and did he have to put the chute out? Thought about going just to see for myself what the place is like. Just looks really narrow in the pictures and with 2 wheel brakes not sure about stopping in time.

the pics of the track makes it look narrow, the concrete lanes are 10ft,think Sikeston is 2 foot wider than bonne terre

That's what I was afraid of. Just was wondering how they did it. Guess you could test to 60' and 330' marks. Wednesdays just don't work when you get up at 3 AM and no weekend testing

Well I guess one thing is for certain, unless I either run the stop or drive another car there my Dragster running 4.80's wont donate any rubber to the place. Sikeston and Benton are a handful to get stopped and turned off safely.

From the video I saw they could have moved the starting line back.

Off topic, kind of... This from Cordova's website. I found the last part about the shutdown area sort of funny. I'm sure it's just me. Track Elevation 632 feet above sea level 300 foot smooth ground concrete launch surface 1400 feet of asphalt 2000 feet of shutdown and 500 foot sand trap followed by farm field

Not like some track I've raced at that are Xft of shutdown followed by a bluff.

Or the "Big Elim" hill at Gravelramma that has a cemetery just past the crest so if you don't let off you go airborne and nose dive into it.
