7/25 event at CID.... 4.00 door cars????

I am missing something here... How can a track that can't even get enough cars to make full payouts week after week ever think they pull off something like this... Are the ADRL/XDRL Pro Extreme cars making a stop in Havana IL? This is almost funny to read.

July 27, 2013 - 4.0 Pro Challenge. This show will bring Pro Mods and Pro Stocks together on the same ticket and feature a $20,000.00 purse. This is a heads-up, run-what-ya-brung competition for door-slammers only and will be run on a Pro Tree. There are only two classes: WITHOUT power-adders on gasoline and WITH power-adders. Non-power-adder cars have to get as close to 4.00 as possible, while the power-adder entries have to be able to run at least 4.00 to qualify. Spiffs will be paid for low E.T., fastest M.P.H. and if anyone runs 4.00 dead on. There will also be a run-off at the end where the winners from both classes come back, dial in and race each other for King of the Hill bragging rights and a nice trophy. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Gates open at 11 a.m., with time runs at 2 p.m. General admission spectators $15

All power added cars must run a 4.00 or faster just to qualify ? not a qualifying ladder???So high 3 second cars is a must if they want to get paid? I guess if they don't run in the 3's then they don't qualify so the track don't have to pay out to non qualifyers.... that's the way I read it.

Gateway runs blown Pro Mods quite often and only a few actually get into the 3's in the 1/8

Not saying it can't be done but... In the history of Havana there never has been a 3 second door car run, only a run or two by dragsters in the 3's and that was back in the days when the clocks were questionable.
