Dennis...all tracks have this weather my friend. So the question....therefore the RCA ( root cause analysis)... Is to get to the why exactly CID lost so many. Sure weather, economy, fuel prices...but all tracks have those variables. So its still valid. Its just a way of looking at it in an objective business sense minus emotion. I want the track to succeed. But I think there are some very basic "whys" to dig into to get to the root. Then you can do a gap analysis and have a real plan vs crap shoot. Much of what is missing now is trust in management. And I understand it.

If Frank is a smart business man, he would be doing an RCA and gap analysis to figure out what is wrong and how to cross the gap. The problem happens when you buy into a business you arent savvy...and are at the mercy of trusting your management choices. CID needs a balance of someone with business sense but the heart for racing and the racers. When being track manager is merely a paycheck, it will not work. And there is no reason for a track that size to pay for TWO managers but not pay the RACERS. Just my humble opinion. Xs AN Os NO CARS,, NO PAYOUT, HOTTEST WEATHER IN HISTORY!! Week before just as hot or hotter and triple the cars. Hmmmm?

Just so no one misunderstands, I truly want it to succeed. I believe the payout structure is hurting them. I understand mods on poor turnouts,..but its hard to justify those payouts while paying for two managers. In business, you take care of your customers or you lose them. Any elementary business course could identify plenty that is very fixable. But at the heart of it is the people...and when the heart fails, you flatline. They need to listen to the heart. And Frank needs to be involved. I have yet to email him since I am not as tied as so many others, but I went there in high school, watched my son race there, and love supporting Adam race. And objectively, I see a fixable track with people that love it and want the best for it.

Well, first experience at I57 this weekend. If it was 2hrs closer....you wouldn't get me away from there. What a super group of people (Scott & his staff). Track hooked great, and they fired the cars through. Anyone who hasn't been there needs to go. Not a fancy place but well cared for and well ran.
I won $50 for fast car on Friday's T&T and unfortunately broke two rocker arms Sat. Still had a blast!! The place was PACKED!!!! Cars parked out past scoreboards because it was nice weather & $1000 to win.

Yeah...yeah...point taken. ;D ;D
I was more posting my opinion for anyone who may be thinking about going there sometime. They have some pretty quick cars make the turn without chutes too. Not a big place but it was fun.
