Went to the International Motorsports Industry Show today. It's a smaller version of the PRI show. Made some contacts. If the deals go through I'll be selling more brands of helmets, fire suits and performance parts. Maybe some dirt car stuff also drtrcr22 I'll go into more detail Friday. It's been a long day. 485 miles round trip.

I'm spoke with Behrent's Performance Warehouse. www.behrents.com I might become a dealer for their equipment. The other big one is basically like Summit. If you can buy it in their catalog, I can get it for you. This means in addition to ZOX, RCI and G-Force, I'll be able to get Bell, Simpson, Impact, RJS, Zamp I will also be able to sell the /15 rated suits. G-Force and RCI only offer /5.

Some of the other displays I saw The new Daytona Challenger from HPP www.hppcars.com/This car was there. The "wall" was bigger than the car. It's a world record holder. It goes around the track like a slot car. I was there for a few hours. I was amazed at some of the technology on display. Several forms of racing. Drags, Indy cars, Dirt cars, Legends, Hot rods. I met my Sales rep from Racing Junk, Jim Sweener. He's a great guy.I spoke with reps from Bell, Simpson, Impact, Intercomp, Dragon Slayer, Behrents, Atech, Composite Specialties, MK1 and several more. It was really good for it's first year. They already have dates for next year. Dec 1-3 2010

You're our resident circle track expert. Is that plexiglass wall legal? 20 some years ago I think it was the Wallaces were running one at our local track. It was only about 1-2 foot high. Could've been Gundaker too many years to remember for sure.

NO, not by any means in any sanctioning body rules that I know of... I believe that was strictly an exhibition stunt to see how fast he could go trying to break a [record?] on that track.
Another Youtube clip shows him turning a 10.282 second lap at 133 mph (I think I heard it right) on that Kalamazoo, MI track.
I don't know the length of that track, but it looks small. Either way, he is FLYING around that slick track. I bet the pucker factor was a higher record than the lap and speed time... I am still out of breath just watching it...!
